It is a merry Christmas Eve. Decoration such as colourful bubbles, freshly-picked holly, wrapped presents, gleaming bells and an ever-green Christmas tree is placed around the cosy room. The blazing fires dancing flames looks like a distinctive gleaming sun-ray with no thought of the oxygen or fuel that it consumes. The bells can be seen gleaming whilst the beaming leaves of the Christmas tree can be seen glistening. The flaring flames reflect upon the ornate bubbles in the evening light. carefully the orange flames curl and sway turning into light sombre ashes. Snapping and popping little sizzling specks of sparks looks like shooting stars falling from the pitch-black night sky.
The raging fire crackles like a Christmas cracker as the Christmas bells is heard swaying gently outside in the bitter cold. You can hear joyous faded voices of laughter and the tumult of pleasing carols being sung. The warming sizzling fire is music to ones ears.
The aroma of the soot and coal fills the room. The smell of mince –pies wafting from the kitchen gives one a pleasure of delight the festive smell of cinnamon engulf the room whilst the mesmerising flames shoot warmth in all directions.
The mantel piece is hot because of the blazing fire, I gracefully walk around the room, caressing the fur of bells on the wall. I can almost feel the warm sensation hugging me. I grasp my mug of hot chocolate and let the heat defrost my fingers.
The cinnamon tingles my tongue as I grow hungry for mince pie. The room tastes like a festive cheer radiating warmth and love.
